About NJ School Performance Data
The New Jersey Department of Education publishes School Performance Reports each year for every public school and district in the state. These reports compile data from dozens of state and federal collections β academic assessments, graduation outcomes, chronic absenteeism, enrollment trends, course participation, staff composition, and district spending β into a single public resource. This site makes that data interactive and easy to explore across schools and over time.
Search for any New Jersey public school or district to get started. You can add multiple schools to compare them side by side across any of the 35+ data topics. Data covers the 2018β19 through 2024β25 school years and is updated each fall when the NJDOE releases its annual reports. The site covers all 679 New Jersey public school districts and approximately 2,500 schools.
All data is sourced directly from the NJDOE's public releases. The numbers shown are the same figures the state publishes through its School Performance Reports portal. Topics covered include NJSLA academic assessments, student growth percentiles, four- five- and six-year graduation rates, chronic absenteeism, ESSA accountability scores, AP/IB and dual enrollment, career and technical education, school staff metrics, and per-pupil spending.
