Chronic Absenteeism by Grade

This dashboard shows the chronic absenteeism rate for students in each grade level, including pre-kindergarten. A student is considered chronically absent when they are absent for 10% or more of the days they were enrolled. The same calculation methodology applies as in the overall chronic absenteeism dashboard. This is the only section of the site that includes chronic absenteeism data for pre-kindergarten students.

A state comparison is provided for each grade level. Data is reported based on each student's accountable school, which in most cases is the same as the school they attend. Results can be filtered by school year.
