CTE Participation

Career and Technical Education participation and concentrator rates by student group.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs provide students in grades 9 through 12 with opportunities to develop academic, technical, and professional skills through state-approved program sequences. This dashboard shows the percentage of students enrolled as CTE participants or concentrators. A participant has completed one course in an approved CTE program sequence of three or more courses. A concentrator has completed two or more courses in a single program sequence, or has completed the full approved program.

CTE data is submitted by school districts each summer. Students who attend a county vocational high school on a shared-time basis are counted at both the vocational school and the local district high school with a weight of 0.5 in both the numerator and denominator. Student group breakdowns and district and state comparisons are available.
