ESSA Status
Every Student Succeeds Act identification status by year.
This dashboard shows each school's ESSA accountability status and identification for support and improvement. Schools may be identified in four federal categories reviewed every three years: Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) for overall low performance, CSI for low graduation rate, Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) for low-performing student groups, and CSI for chronically low-performing schools (ATSI schools identified for three or more consecutive years). One category — Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) for consistently underperforming student groups — is updated annually.
Identification status is determined by each school's performance on ESSA accountability indicators relative to statewide standards and annual targets. The dashboard also shows detailed indicator scores and student group summative scores. The most recent CSI and ATSI identification was based on 2022-23 data; the next identification will be based on 2025-26 data.
