Growth vs. Achievement

Plot each school's NJSLA proficiency rate against its median Student Growth Percentile (SGP). Quadrant lines are fixed at 50% proficiency and SGP 50.

This dashboard plots each school's NJSLA proficiency rate against its median Student Growth Percentile (mSGP). The proficiency rate is the percentage of students who met or exceeded expectations on the NJSLA. The mSGP reflects how students performed on the assessment compared to students statewide with similar prior test scores. Both measures are available separately for ELA and mathematics.

Quadrant lines are fixed at 50% proficiency and an mSGP of 50. Growth data is available for schools serving grades 4 through 8. Student growth data was not reported for 2020-21 or 2021-22 due to the cancellation of statewide assessments.
