Math Course Participation

This dashboard shows the number of students enrolled in mathematics courses by course type for grades 6 through 12. Course categories include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, and Other Mathematics. Students in grades 7 and 8 enrolled in high school mathematics courses such as Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II take end-of-course assessments in place of their grade-level math assessment. For schools serving only grades K–8, the Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics columns may not be displayed.

Course enrollment is identified using state defined course codes reported by school districts each summer. Counts reflect the unique number of students enrolled in each course category. If a student is enrolled in multiple courses within the same category, they are counted once. Data privacy rules have not been applied to course enrollment counts.
