Math NJSLA

Percentage of students meeting or exceeding standards on the NJ Student Learning Assessment.

The NJSLA Math assessment measures student proficiency in mathematics for grades 3 through 8, plus high school courses in Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. Scores range from 650 to 850 and are grouped into five performance levels: Level 1 (Did Not Yet Meet Expectations), Level 2 (Partially Met Expectations), Level 3 (Approached Expectations), Level 4 (Met Expectations), and Level 5 (Exceeded Expectations). The proficiency rate shown is the percentage of students who scored at Level 4 or Level 5.

Results include students who took the standard NJSLA assessment or the Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) alternate assessment, which is administered to students with the most significant intellectual disabilities. Data is reported based on each student's accountable school, which in most cases is the same as the school they attend. Results can be filtered by student group, grade level, and school year, with district and state comparisons available.
