School Day

This dashboard shows the length of the school day and instructional time for a typical student at each school. Start and end times are based on information submitted by the school district to the state's Central Data System (CDS). The length of the school day includes both instructional and non-instructional time such as lunch. Instructional time reflects the hours a typical student spends in instructional activities under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Instructional time is reported separately for full-time and shared-time students. Full-time students attend a school for the full school day. Shared-time students are high school students who split their day between a local district high school and a county vocational school. Some schools may report data for only one of these student types.
